PRODUCT DESCRIPTION & FEATURES
The Poljot International “Kirovskie Automatic” (2415.1981123) is a limited-edition automatic timepiece inspired by one of the earliest Soviet military wristwatch designs from the 1940s. This model revives the historical “Kirovskie” concept while integrating modern mechanical engineering and refined finishing.
Its story traces back to the First State Watch Factory in Moscow, founded in 1930, which later became associated with Sergey Kirov. According to historical legend, the factory was tasked with quickly creating a military wristwatch by adapting a pocket watch case with welded lugs, giving birth to one of the first official Soviet military watches.
The modern reissue closely follows the original design language but uses a more wearable 40 mm case. A notable technical feature is the crown positioned at 2 o’clock, allowing the movement to be rotated so the decentralized seconds display appears at 9 o’clock, echoing the original military layout.
