The Poljot International “Gorbatchov” (2427.1546511) is a limited-edition automatic timepiece dedicated to Mikhail Gorbachev, a key historical figure of the 20th century known for his role in the political transformation of the Soviet Union and the end of the “Iron Curtain” between East and West. This re-issued bestseller was released on the occasion of the manufactory’s 25th anniversary.
The design reflects the historical era of “Perestroika” and “Glasnost,” symbolizing openness, reform, and the transition from the USSR to the Russian Federation. Instead of traditional numerals, the dial features rose-gold applied indices. Additional design elements include symbolic flags representing the political transition, as well as inscriptions on the dial edge referencing values such as freedom, democracy, reforms, and peace.
This version features a silver-colored dial combined with rose-gold accents and a black leather strap with red lining, creating a balanced and elegant historical tribute design. The watch is strictly limited to 250 pieces per dial version.
