The Poljot International “Gorbatchov” (2427.1546512) is a limited-edition automatic timepiece dedicated to Mikhail Gorbachev, a major historical figure of the 20th century known for his role in the political transformation of the Soviet Union and the end of the division between East and West. This re-issued bestseller was released on the occasion of the manufactory’s 25th anniversary.
The design reflects the historical period of “Perestroika” and “Glasnost,” symbolizing openness, reform, and the transition from the USSR to the Russian Federation. Instead of traditional numerals, the dial features rose-gold applied indices. Additional symbolic elements include flags representing the political transition and inscriptions on the dial edge referring to values such as freedom, democracy, reforms, and peace.
This version features an elegant beige dial combined with rose-gold details and a black leather strap with red lining, creating a refined yet symbolic aesthetic. The model is strictly limited to 250 pieces per dial version.
