The Poljot International “Gorbatchov” (2427.1546513) is a limited-edition automatic timepiece dedicated to Mikhail Gorbachev, a key historical figure of the 20th century known for his role in the political transformation of Eastern Europe and the end of the Cold War division between East and West. This re-edition was released on the occasion of the manufactory’s 25th anniversary.
The design reflects themes of political and social change associated with the era of “Perestroika” and “Glasnost,” including symbols of transition from the USSR to the Russian Federation. Instead of traditional numerals, the dial features rose-gold applied indices, along with symbolic flag elements and inscriptions representing values such as freedom, reform, democracy, and peace.
This version features a classic black dial paired with rose-gold accents and a black leather strap with a red lining, emphasizing both elegance and historical symbolism. The watch is strictly limited to 250 pieces per dial version.
